ROCK star Bryan Ferry's son Otis was today bailed to await

trial after he denied charges of robbery and assault.

The allegations arise from an incident when two women were

monitoring the activities of the Heythrop Hunt in the North

Cotswolds last November.

At Gloucester crown court Ferry, 25, wearing a dark suit,

cream shirt and tie, pleaded not guilty to robbing Susan Grima

of a Samsung video camera and car keys on November 21,

2007.

Ferry, of Keeper's Cottage, Cross Hands, Shrewsbury, also

pleaded not guilty a common assault on Helen Ghalmi by beating

her on the same date.

Ray Tully, prosecuting, said the case is set down for trial

at the crown court in Cirencester, on September 15 but there is

a potential problem with the availability of a police

witness.

Mr Tully said he understood the issue in the case would be

identification - whether it was Mr Ferry who carried out the

alleged offences.

At an earlier hearing the court heard that Ferry denies the

man involved was him.

The two women who were allegedly robbed and assaulted were

filming the activities of the Hunt at Lower Swell, near Stow on

the Wold, in North Gloucestershire last November to ensure

foxes were not being pursued.

Granting Ferry unconditional bail pending trial Judge Hart

told him he hoped the September 15 date could be kept but he

would know by next Friday if there needs to be a change.
