£10,000 cash seized by drugs squad police on M5

Police have arrested two men on suspicion of illegal drug dealing after stopping a car on the M5 at junction 14, Falfield.

The Honda Civic was stopped near the Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire border just before 10pm on Monday, March 11 and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary said it used a police dog, Bob, in the search. Around £10,000 in cash was seized.

A 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old man remain in police custody today, Tuesday March 12, pending further inquiries.
