Ten flood warnings have been put in place across Gloucestershire this morning.

Rain is continuing to fall today but the levels will not be enough to make things worse.

  1. Windy weather

That'd the prediction of the Environment Agency who have said this morning that the River Avon is dropping and the River Frome is 'steady'.

But the spokesman added that the River Severn is yet to peak.

They said: "We have had a lot of water come down and there is a lot around at the moment.

"There's more rain coming down today but it is hopefully just showers. Touch wood and fingers crossed there's nothing untoward.

"But people need to be very careful when driving because there is a lot of surface water around."

There are road blockages at the B4213 at Tirley and Toadsmoor Road, at Brimscombe, near Stroud, according to the latest travel reports.

A car is said to have overturned on the A49 because of flood waters too.

Public transport is running to time within the county, but delays are being experienced further afield and people are being advised to check before they travel.
