Ferry, of Easton Mascot, Shropshire, is alleged to have telephoned key witness David Hodgkiss in a bid to prevent him taking the stand.
He is said to have made a series of intimidating phone calls between September 7 and September 17 to Mr Hodgkiss, his former groomsman.
Ferry allegedly told him he would discredit him by portraying him as a ''disgruntled former employee''.
He also allegedly instructed Hodgkiss not to provide the police with certain evidence about a robbery allegation.
Today, magistrates in Cheltenham initially granted Ferry bail but Peter Ashby, prosecuting, lodged an appeal.
Ferry will now remain in custody until an appeal application is heard tomorrow at Gloucester Crown Court, sitting at Cirencester Magistrates' Court.
Pro-hunt campaigner Ferry was due to stand trial on Monday charged with assault and robbery after he allegedly grabbing a camera from an anti-hunt protestor.
But the trial judge at Cirencester Magistrates court halted proceedings on Wednesday and adjourned them to a date to be fixed, without giving a reason.
Ferry was arrested at lunchtime on Wednesday on two charges of perverting the course of justice - immediately after the trial was adjourned.
He was remanded in custody and appeared today dressed in the same blue suit and green jumper he wore for the previous day's trial.
Ferry did not enter a plea on charges of perverting the course of justice.
He was initially granted bail but was held in custody after an appeal was lodged by the prosecution.
He is due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on October 1 to face charges of perverting the course of justice.
