Only 16 speed cams working
MORE than 35% of the county's speed cameras are not being used.
Gloucestershire has 25 static cameras on the roads, but just 16 are currently in action.
Five of the speed cameras have not been used in the past five years, despite all 25 being in working order during that time.
Currently 22 of the speed catching devices are in working order, along with the Gloucestershire's five movable cameras the county has.

It is unclear how much has been made in fines on Gloucestershire's streets through speeding motorists, as money by speeding motorists is paid directly to HM Courts and Tribunals Service and passed on to the Exchequer.
The camera on the A4135 at Kingshill in Dursley catches the most speeders going above the 30mph limit.

“BIGBADJOHN_23 - just a passing thought - the clever bods might just turn them on and off in random - so there is a chance you might get caught.”
