£1k grants for Stroud youth
Stroud District Council is making grants of up to £1,000 available to youth projects operating in the district.
The Stroud Youth Activities Fund is aimed at making a positive difference to young people and supports them to become active citizens in their community. It is being run by Stroud District Council in conjunction with Stroud District Youth Council, which has formed a dedicated assessment panel made up of trained young people.
Kieran Chadwick, chair of Stroud District Youth Council, said:
'We are really keen to see applications from existing youth and community groups or anyone who wants to set up a new project. The grant programme provides opportunities to fund short term activities like educational trips out, themed arts and music projects, first aid training and cookery workshops'.
