“I knew Loz 6 or 7 years ago, it must've been. He was in my year at primary school. He was great to know, and although I didn't know him as a proper friend, he was great to have in my classes. I was very shocked to hear the news and my respects go to the family and other friends that knew him better. I'm sure we'll always be thinking of him, and I hope he rests in peace. <3”

“As a member of Loz' tutor group at school, I am devastated by the loss of a good friend, classmate and person. He was well loved by us all. Even those not as close to him as others new of him and his character. In short he was a fantastic lad and never shy or timid. Everyone who has ever met or even heard of loz is devastated by the news, however it is important to know that he wouldn't want us to mourn, but to celebrate what good times we had with him and to remember that although a tragic incident occured, he wouldn't want us to give in. Also, I feel that cleeve school and the echo deserve respect for respecting the views of his family. He was well loved and will be missed by all.”

“My nan used to babysit Laurence and his brother when we were all younger, so I knew him pretty well. I think everyone who knew him liked him, he was just so nice and it's horrible to hear about death, but it is a whole lot worse when it is someone who you know. We all miss you terribly Laurence, R.I.P xxx”

“I was a friend of Loz's. It sickens me to think that whilst everyone who knew him is mourning his death and grieving, all someone can think of is how it all happened. It has devastated hundreds of people in the community, all I can say to the people who want to know all the gorey details is imagine if the police told you that your son has died. You would want you and your family's privacy respected, so please do that in this case! It is such hard news to take, details aren't important. What is important is that Laurence (or Loz to many) was an amazing, well-respected and very much loved person, and that his life is celebrated, not criticised. My thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time”
