A MENTAL health service in Gloucester, run by charity Rethink Mental Illness, helped over 300 people last year.

The Gloucestershire Foundations to Recovery service works with people who have mental illnesses such as depression or schizophrenia. The service employs 14 staff who offer people practical help and advice so they can live independently.

The group's Andrew Evans said: "At Rethink Mental Illness we help vulnerable people with practical things like paying bills and managing money. Left without that support, things like this can become overwhelming and people can be in danger of losing their home or getting into debt."
