361-metre hair extension breaks world record
HAIR-BRAINED world records are nothing new – but Gloucestershire students hoping for a career in the hair and beauty trade have made their own mark in the record books with the longest hair extension.
The 361-metre effort by students from South Gloucestershire and Stroud College was put on show at The Skills Show at the NEC Birmingham last week.

The event attracted more than 700 visitors over the week, hoping for advice on starting out in a new career.
Sally Hathway, hairdressing lecturer at the college, was handing out advice at the show.
