£3k mountain bikes ripped from roof rack
Two mountain bikes worth £3,000 were stolen from a town centre car park.
They were attached to the roof rack of a silver Audi in Red Meadow car park, Kyrle Street, Ross-on-Wye when they were taken between 8.30pm and 9.15pm on Saturday, 5 January, police said on Wednesday, January 16.
Hundreds of pounds-worth of damage was caused to the roof rack in order to remove the bikes, which are worth more than £3,000 in total.
PC Chris Lea is investigating the theft. He said: "The stolen bikes are a Rumble Fish with green forks and green detail on the seat and frame (pictured top), and a Klein Adept Pro with black and gold forks and a blue frame (pictured below).

"The Klein bike is particularly identifiable as it has customised paintwork, so we're hoping that someone may have seen it.

“"Use this web site to track bikes on ebay and gumtree at the same time. Its how i found my bike. Just be on the look out for stock photos, slight variations of the bike because of this and poorly written descriptions.
Lets face it, if you are selling a quality bike you will know it inside and out and you flaunt it. Thieves barely give more than a sentence
Makes me feel ill the bike thefts in cheltenham. I barely want to go out anymore. Checking over my shoulder to see if i am followed all the time. Taking random different routes home etc.

“This time last year 2 Bikes worth £5k got stolen from a car roof rack at Sainsburys Gloucester.
No Comment. Who in their right mind would ever park up and leave valuables over £1000's unattended. Again no comment.”
