“the roads around the stroud area have always been the worst in the county, so why anyone should worry about a few little potholes appearing beats me.”

“Great to see the potholes being filled on the major routes. Hopefully they will step up this good work while ignoring all the whingers who expect the potholes in THEIR particular back street to be fixed as a matter of priority. Our road is also in a poor state of repair, and has been for ages, but frankly my dear I don't give a damn!”

“I live in the centre of Gloucester and can think of at least two or three streets (Belgrave Rd for example) which are akin to driving through a third world country... 'Nuff said.”

“I saw some pot holes actually being filled in today.

On the other side of the road I noticed two more council fellas, one would dig a hole, the other would follow behind and fill it in. To be fair these guys worked furiously all day without rest, one guy digging the hole, the other guy filling it in again. So I said to one of them, "I appreciate the effort you're putting into your work, but what's the story? You dig a hole and your partner follows behind and fills it up again?" The hole digger wiped his brow and sighed, "Well, normally were a three-man team, but the bloke who plants the trees is sick today". And people say theres no commitment in the public sector anymore, I dunno...”

“I see no evidence of any potholes being filled - and I've driven around Cheltenham and Gloucester. The roads are a complete nightmare and very dangerous.”

“Hey everyone if we all get our brown food bins and melt them we could fill all the potholes and the problem would be solved?”
