Disgraced sheep badger Jeremy Awdry has denied five more counts of breaching the ASBO which bans his flock from Bream.

At an earlier hearing, the 59-year-old had pleaded not guilty to 16 allegations that he flouted an anti-social behaviour order by permitting his sheep to be within an area from which they were prohibited.

The five new charges were put to him at Gloucester Crown Court. He pleaded not guilty to them all.

The charges stated that the ASBO was breached by Awdry, of Lydney Road, Bream, on June 10, 12, 18 and 19 and July 2 this year.

The earlier charges relate to alleged similar offences on January 31, twice on February 2 and again on February 24, March 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17.

Judge Mark Horton bailed Awdry on condition he lives at his home address every night and does not go on holiday.

His case was adjourned until a trial on January 12.

The ASBO imposed on milkman Awdry in February bans him from allowing his 500 sheep to enter a specific part of Bream for five years.

He is thought to be the first shepherd in the country to be given an ASBO. He has claimed the order and subsequent charges against him are 'victimisation'.
