Aled Jones visits Cirencester
SINGER and TV presenter Aled Jones was in Gloucestershire on Friday to present an episode of BBC auction show Cash in the Attic.
Aled, famous for his performance inThe Snowman as a boy, was at the Cotswold Auction House to guide two families through the process with a selection of goods from their homes.
There was quite a buzz about the place, according to bosses at the Cirencester venue of the Cheltenham-based auctioneer.
Lindsey Braune handled several of the lots.
She said: "It was a busy day with lots of cameras and people, which always creates a great buzz.
"Aled was really nice and went through all the history of the items with both families.
"They had some lovely pieces, ranging from a host of Marvel comics and Dior costume jewellery to antique silver bowls and a Georgian mahogany tea caddy."
Lindsey added: "We sold the comics and the antique bowl fetched more than £500, so it's gone really well.
"We're very pleased and I think most of visitors enjoyed having the cameras about."

“I agree with BBJ.
I always get told to shut up when I mention the fact, the general response is Who cares"? Well I do. So Citizen, please take note if the song is mentioned at Xmas this year.”

“Correction.
The fabulous Snowman voice singing 'Walking in the Air' was Peter Auty.
Not his day when he was 'airbrushed' out and Jones claimed all the credit and forged a career on the strength of Press fiction.
If you repeat something often enough it becomes fact. This is a 28- year-old chestnut.”
