Anger over developers leaving mud through Brockworth
A DEVELOPER has been slammed for ignoring concerns of Brockworth residents.
Richard Goddard, of Kennel Lane, said he and his neighbours have raised concerns with David Wilson Homes about lorries driving down Green Street, which is not supposed to be used for access, inconsiderate parking of works vehicles and mud being left on the roads causing a hazard to drivers.
The company is building 72 houses on land off Kennel Lane and has already caused controversy by cutting down three historic pear trees on the site.
Mr Goddard, 62, said: "They seem to be able to run rough shod over everyone. Other building companies make an effort to keep local residents in the loop.

"But when I ring them they just pay lip service but never call me back."
Mr Goddard, a building services manager for a national firm, said there are up to 100 villagers being affected by the development and numerous issues have been raised about the site.
He has called on the company to arrange a meeting with them to discuss the problems.
He said: "We want to see the thing done properly and finished but the way it's being managed is not right."
Louise Ware, sales director for David Wilson Homes, said: "We apologise for any inconvenience and can assure local residents that we take their concerns seriously.
"We are in the process of ordering a larger sign to ensure construction traffic avoids Green Street and we are looking at improving measures to clean vehicle wheels before they leave our site."

“There will be a condition on the planning permission about wheel-washing facilities at the site entrance, plus another about keeping the public highway clear. So potentially they are in breach of these conditions. Plus sounds like they're breaching another, if they are using roads for access they are specifically not supposed to be using.
What are the planners doing, or perhaps more specifically the Planning Enforcement Officer???”
