Appeal for information into death of wakeboarder Max Hartshorne
POLICE are renewing their appeal for information regarding the death of a 24-year-old wakeboarder two months ago.
Max Hartshorne, from the Cotswolds, suffered fatal injuries at 12.30am on August 19, Sunday after a collision on the B4696, Spine Road East, at South Cerney.

He was allegedly involved in a collision with a BMW car, near the crossroads with Broadway Lane and Wickwater Lane. He had been at a 21st birthday party at South Cerney Angling Club.
Sergeant Dave Kania, from the Roads Policing Unit at Gloucestershire Police, said: "Over the last couple of months we have been carrying out a thorough investigation into the incident, which so sadly claimed Max's life.

"We've spoken to several witnesses and drivers that were in the area around the time of the collision but we're still eager to hear from anyone that was driving on the road that night that may be able to help us establish the exact sequence of events that lead to this tragic incident.
The former Cirencester Kingshill School pupil was a popular member of WMSki, the wakeboarding and waterskiing cableski centre at Lake 17, South Cerney.
Manager and close friend, Steve Dyer, said after Max's death: "Max was the life and soul of every party. He was so playful and out for a good time and he looked after his friends. He was one of the top boys.
"His wakeboarding was one of the most stylish out there."
Anyone with information can contact the police at 101, quoting incident number 27 of August 19, or calling crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
Following the incident a 50-year-old man from Malmesbury was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was initially released on police bail; this has been cancelled whilst the investigation is on going.
