Armour returns to Abbey
ARMOUR will once again fill Tewkesbury Abbey this May – more than 600 years after the sound of steel echoed around the building.
But this time it will be with more peaceful intent than during the Wars of the Roses which saw the town become a bloody battleground.

The Abbey, working with Tewkesbury Medieval Festival, will present Armour in the Abbey, an exhibition of armour through the ages.
There will be displays of breast plates, helmets, swords and shields and other items used in re-enactments with an opportunity to find out what goes underneath and how they are put on.
