Art classes start again at Abbeydale for the summer term
Abbeydale Community Centre runs a range of art courses for both adults and children. Peter Garrard's painting and drawing classes have proved popular with local residence and people from as far afield as Cheltenham and Gotherington. There is still time to enrol now for the summer term. Contact the Centre Office on 01452 or email adim@abbeydale.org.uk for details.

Starting to Draw and Paint classes are aimed at the complete beginner or people who still see themselves as starting out. It is a great way for you to learn how to get something down on paper, meet like-minded people and enjoy yourself in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. I will guide you through a variety of basic painting and drawing techniques and help you to get to grips with the various aspects of proportion, shading and colour mixing.
Developing your Painting and Drawing skills classes are a great way for more experienced artists to improve their skills and techniques and develop their own individual style in a warm and informal setting. Everyone is catered for individually within the group. Draw and paint from a variety of subjects including still life, portrait and landscape. Learn about line, colour, texture, form, shape and movement. Enjoy experimenting with charcoal, pencil crayons, pen, pastels, watercolours and acrylics.
