NEW paintings have gone on show at Taurus Crafts.

The arts centre, near Lydney, is host to Hovering Halfway, an exhibition by artist Ashley Davies.

Ashley works with people with special educational needs, which she says influences her own artwork, described as "an exploration of visual language".

She has exhibited her work widely and her pieces are also in numerous private collections.

Recent shows include an exhibition at London's Bush Hall and the Southbank Centre. Her Taurus Crafts show is on until February 26.

This weekend, Taurus Crafts' will play host to its renowned Sausage Saturday outdoor market.

Locally produced food and drink will be on offer from 11am to 4pm to get the tastebuds tingling.
