“Brilliant news & a long time coming, not just for Kingsway but for all the surrounding areas people forget Tesco Quedgeley has had the monopoly for almost 30 years since moving out of the city centre. They have had it their way for so long they have forgot then most important thing the customer! - they stock what they want, never have enough tills open, woeful customer service (not all admittedly) but I have received my fair share 'shrugging the shoulders - take it or leave attitude' in this store and their prices are constantly on the rise - they con you with 2 for 1 offers whist putting up the prices on the basic daily items - has anyone else noticed milk has gone up since Christmas ? 4 pints of semi skimmed milk has risen from £1.18 to £1.29!! - strangely in hasn't in Aldi (£1), Farmfoods (£1) Morrisons (£1) or Asda - you guessed it £1!!!”

“Brilliant news, it also means that Naas Lane will be open for Kingsway residents to use too.
Tesco has been appalling since it's refurbishment in 2010, coupled with expensive prices for food (it cost's £4.50 for a bacon joint in Tesco's (when they have them) and £3.50 for a bacon joint which is not only bigger in size but looks as though it hasn't been cremated in Asda) If I can help it I don't shop there anymore.
Aldi have seen a huge rise in customers over the last six months, you could definately see that in the run up to Christmas.
Have they given the date for when the building will commence? Asda Quedgeley was originally planned to open in Sept 2013.”

“At last!! It may help to reduce the congestion round Quedgeley Tesco's as well as meaning you won't need to fight your way through the crowds in their to do your shopping. This has been a long time coming, Quedgeley Tesco's need some competition.”

I think Tesco in Quedgeley may have a different view to that”
