Avon a 'great story of achievement'
DAME Janet Trotter, Lord Lieutenant for Gloucestershire, said she was "delighted" for Avon Metals.
She visited the company in the summer to present their Queen's Award.
"Their commitment to the workforce and the leadership of the organisation was impressive," she said. "Also, how far they've gone in a relatively short time, I can understand why they won the award."
Gloucester MP Richard Graham said it was a "great result" for the company.
