Top BMX stars head to Stroud
INTERNATIONAL stars of freestyle BMX are heading to Stroud to try out a proposed new skatepark.
Preparations for the Rush indoor skatepark just outside the town are being made, and currently the ramps are up for film crews from Ride BMX magazine.

Four teams are making a film each and this week it was the turn of the DC Shoes riders.
The park is the brainchild of Jerry Norman, who wanted somewhere for his son Josh and his mate to ride all year round.

"Around £2million has been spent on skateparks in Gloucestershire in recent years which is great," he said.
"But if it's cold, icy, wet or dark, then they're not suitable. Under cover, you can ride all year round.
"The nearest indoor parks are in Birmingham, Bristol, Corby, Leicester, Liverpool and Manchester."
When it opens it will cater for BMX riders, skateboarders, inline skaters, and scooter riders, and an outdoor facility for mountainbikes is planned.
