Bail granted for man, 50, facing assault charges
LESZEK Jan Zawal is set to stand trial for two counts of violence on February 1 next year.
Mr Zawal is accused of assaulting a mother and son by beating on August 8.
Mr Zawal, 50, of High Street, Cheltenham, pleaded not guilty to the charges at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court yesterday.
He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and current address.

He was granted conditional bail until his next hearing on the grounds that he would not attempt to contact "the injured witnesses," otherwise he could see himself remanded in custody.
Mr Zawal's solicitor, Jon Holmes, said his Polish client, who had only basic English, would need an interpreter to translate legal proceedings.
