MUSICIANS took to the stage across Gloucester in an effort to help reduce poverty as part of the annual Oxjam fundraiser.

The Brunswick and Registry were the main focus of city events, with upcoming bands taking over venues across the county – all were playing for the same Oxfam charity cause. Welcome to Marathon, winners of the 2012 Gloucester Guildhall Battle of the Bands, turned in a star performance and were joined by other county musicians The Lion and Stress Echoes.

The weekend of music was hosted by BBC Introducing from Radio Gloucestershire.

Since 2006, more than 45,000 musicians have played to an audience of more than 900,000 people in the UK, raising in excess of £1.75million for Oxfam.
