Bennett on top in huge year for the grass club
THIS year is important for the Forest of Dean Autograss Club as they marks their golden anniversary.
It is the club's 50th year since being founded in 1963 by a group of racing enthusiasts at the Golden Lion, Cinderford.
Their first race meeting was held later that year on September 1 at Wellingtons Farm, Blaize Bailey, when the admission fee was two shillings and sixpence.
With 2012 a washout up and down the country and numerous meetings cancelled, the Nationals held in Yorkshire still went ahead as planned.

And it was Forest club's Graham Bennett who went on to claim the National Class Ten crown.
