LOW cost homes provider Two Rivers Housing has issued a warning to residents about bogus contractors.

Two Rivers is concerned that thieves could be impersonating members of its teams to try and gain access to vulnerable people's homes, following incidents in Bream and Coleford.

Chief executive Garry King stressed the importance of safety precautions when dealing with callers to the home.

"We are in the process of reminding all tenants to be as attentive as possible when granting access to properties," he said.

He said residents should ask for identification when they are expecting workmen.
