Big Bugs Bunny appears on skate ramp at Gloucester Park
A HUGE Bugs Bunny picture has appeared on the skate ramp at Gloucester Park.
The brightly coloured picture features Bugs smoking a big cigar and was sprayed on the ramp yesterday.
A Gloucester City Council spokesperson said: “We do not condone action of this kind. We have a strict policy to remove offensive or explicit graffiti from property, but have found working with users of areas of this kind to decide on what to do can help to deter future anti social behaviour.
"The council, working in partnership with the local Police have worked with users of the skate park in Abbey to decorate the ramp and we will aim to use this model, which has proved successful, in this instance.”

“Hi guys, I'm here to put my point across if anyone ever pops back to this article, as the artist responsible for bugs I'd just like to say to whoever told me to get a job that I've got one and I took a day off to brighten up the only part of this glum little city that these kids use because they asked me to. Also to anyone wondering how it was done without the police noticing, it was done in broad daylight, the police arrived and I convinced them I was allowed to be there. I feel sorry for all of you that cant appreciate the finer things in life and can't tell the difference between art and vandalism, and to all of you who have left amazing comments I thank you very much and keep your eyes peeled for more work around our fair city.”

“Just so long as no-one from Disney sees it - they're renowned as one of the most litigious companies in the USA, so watch out City Council!”

“Looks like to me.
Now this to me is fine. I used to skate a lot and the ramps looked rubbish and tired. If there were some "decent" art work in them then it looks good!
Certainly better than "Douchbag waz ere" Looks a bit outta place on its own though.”

“It's far and away my favourite picture of a cartoon rabbit on a skate ramp ever. If there was an international award for cartoon rabbits on skate ramps, this one would be right up there in the top 3 or 4. Probably. Apparently there's a really good one at Machu Pichu.”

“"yeah...go out and smoke ciggies kids just like this graffiti is encouraging you!!"
Seriously? Are you so weak willed that you take your lifestyle choices from a drawing of a cartoon bunny?”

“Yeah...go out and smoke ciggies kids just like this graffiti is encouraging you!!.
Seriously Gloucester has some real morons in it and some muppet commentors on this site, how i love paying council tax to get rid of graffiti that was mindlessley put there. What makes it worse is the person responsible obviously has far too much time on their hands and probably...here's a thought.. SHOULD GET A JOB!!”

“I think this is great. Don't see a problem with the cigar, at least it's not one of those funny fags.”

“I think it is absolutely fabulous. If you interpret the cigarette, it could be a gone off carrot. I find it rather bunny that it has not amused the council. They're all miserable and think all youths should be goody goody, yes sir no sir. prr. I would love to see more images like this or equivalent in other skate parks.”

“Don't be such a curmudgeon Douglas! Surely you are not suggesting that works by Banksy are "not art" either?
I think some common sense has to be applied, this looks good and should stay, if it looked bad or was offensive then it should be removed. It's time we started actually thinking before mindlessly applying rules.”
