Body from River Severn identified

The body of a man which was recovered from the River Severn on July 23 has been identified.

Gloucester Coroner's confirmed that the body was that of Andrew John Limbrick from London Road, Gloucester.

A spokesman from the coroner's office said: "He has been identified by his finger prints and is Andrew John Limbrick."

Police were called to the banks near the Anchor Inn in Epney at around 9pm on July 23 after a member of the public had reported seeing a body in the water.

An inquest into Mr Limbrick's death was opened on Tuesday and was adjourned for further enquiries.
