Book magic is brought to life at school
CHARACTERS popped off the page and into classrooms at a Cheltenham school yesterday.
Pupils at Berkhampstead School in Pittville Circus Road dressed up as their favourite figures from fairy tales for Book Character Day.

The youngsters in nursery, reception and Year 1 took on the roles of the stars of the books, ranging from dastardly pirates to Little Red Riding Hood for the Once Upon A Time-themed day.
And their teachers joined in the fun with their own costumes.

The children were also treated to their teachers' favourite stories as they discovered more about the books they read.
Helen Roddy-Watt, head of early years at the school, dressed as Wilbur the Cat for the day.
She said: "It was a very active day. We made puppets and rewrote traditional fairy tales.
"The afternoon finished with a parade on the stage of all the different characters."
