Bookworms gather in Bream
PAGES were turning in Bream as Forest bookworms gave their views on a new community library scheme.
A 'Love your Library' event was held at the West Dean Centre in the village on Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
Residents were invited along to offer their opinions on how a community library service would operate as a result of library closures due to Gloucestershire County Council budget cuts.
Mary Rontree, who helped run the event, said: "It went very well and we had a steady flow of people in through the day,
"We asked people to fill in a questionnaire about the library service and we will be looking into the results of that soon. One thing that stood out was the interest in forming a writers' club of some sort.
"The event showed that there is definitely the demand and interest in Bream for a library service."
