Nerves were apparent in their crucial game against Cricklade, who showed they would be difficult opponents as they had more of the play in the early stages.

Jack Allan and Tom Price both tested Adam Thomas, but Brimscombe settled down and took control and took the lead in the 15th minute Martin McDermott dribbled his way into the visiting penalty area and Cleverley put captain Mishey Green through and he beat Brown in the Cricklade goal with a 15-yard drive.

From then the home side oozed confidence and Woodfield with his darting runs put the Cricklade defence under pressure after Tubb had a goal disallowed for offside.

Ben Snook made it 2-0 in the 25th minute an effort from close range.

Adam Smith the Cricklade captain was unlucky when he had a free-kick shave the crossbar.

In the 39th minute Lee Pritchard produced one of his specials and the ball fairly zoomed in to the net past Brown for the third goal.
