Britain's 'top beautician' sets up salon in Quedgeley
A QUEDGELEY community centre may seem an unlikely place for a beauty salon, but one of Britain's top beauticians has set up her new business there.
Sarah James, from Cooper's Edge, came second in the British Beauty and Spa Awards in 2007, fending off thousands of other people.
Now the 29-year-old is carrying out treatments at the Q Club, in School Lane, including facials, massages, waxing and manicures.
"I've always wanted to start out on my own," she said.

"It's been very challenging but exciting at the same time."
She enjoyed a successful career in a string of top Cheltenham beauty firms before joining Cedars in Gloucester's GL1 leisure centre and then setting up her business – Butterflies Beauty Therapy – in her home city.
Sarah said: "I have clients who travel from Cheltenham just to come back to me.
"But the best of all, I have one lady from Canada who came to me while on holiday and she comes back to London every year and travels over to me for her treatments."
For more information on the salon, contact Sarah on 07845 536001 or 01452 542590.

“Well said IsitJimKerr, this is little more than free advertising for her "salon"
As for the claim that:
"I have clients who travel from Cheltenham just to come back to me."
Its only 10 minutes down the motorway to Quedgeley, it's not like they are flying in from the Pacific Rim for a waxing is it?”

“Bellyflop................try proof reading before 'submit'..............sorry, you won't know what that means, so google it, if you know what THAT means!
And Dr_Hfgggrrrrrrr..........please don't tar all of the good ladies of Gloucester with the same brush.
As for the article, come on TiG, I mean;
'Britain's 'top beautician' sets up salon in Quedgeley'........when actually she came second in a competition five years ago!”

“Bellyflop that is a foul slur on the good ladies of Gloucester. If you said that in a pub in the city centre you'd probably get glassed by one of them. Mind you, the chance of being glassed by a woman at random in Gloucester is pretty high, but still...”

“The beautician will have her work cuy out. There are a lot of ugly women in Gloucester, ha ha.”
