"I have met so many nice people and enjoyed lots of new experiences.
"It has been so much fun."
Lauren has already been getting to know the people of Gloucester.
She has been working for The Citizen and sat on our love sofa in King's Walk shopping centre and had her picture taken with people in the run up to Valentine's Day.
Her mum Michelle said: "She has been doing a lot of charity work in the run up to the semi-final. She's already raised a £1,000 from a 4-mile run.
"I'm obviously really proud of her because she's doing really well for herself."
There are currently seven others girls from around the country in the running for the coveted Miss England position.
The winner will spend her year raising awareness for various charities and will receive prizes totalling £30,000, including a luxury holiday to Mauritius and a place in Miss World 2013.
The semi-finals will take place in the spring before the ultimate finals in June, when Miss England will be crowned.
Miss England director Angie Beasley said: "As a model it is important that you are photogenic and that your beauty can be captured by the camera and translated into a picture.
"Not everyone is naturally photogenic, but these girls in the finals look great behind the camera as well as in front of one."
