Firefighters were called out at 7.54pm and police closed part of the motorway after a HGV driver spotted the flaming vehicle near Michaelwood Services.

It pulled onto the hard shoulder on the northbound carriageway between junction 13 and 14.

“The bus Co. will now be getting a rather large bill from the company responsible for maintaining the motorway!”

“NibNobs - No. The article definitely states it was down to the driver who evacuated the passengers. If it wasn't for the driver, the passengers would have stayed on board!....while it "burst" into flames.”
