Buskers to take to the streets of Coleford
LIVE music will strike up in Coleford when buskers take to the streets.
On Saturday, September 22, Coleford Town Council, in partnership with Music Industry Services, will be holding a busking festival in the centre of the town. The event, which runs from 9am until 3.30pm, is aimed at breathing some life back into the streets of Coleford.
The event will include an open microphone stage in the centre of town where musicians can turn up and book a slot to perform, as well as music of all genres in and around the streets of Coleford.
It is hoped that performers will make a day of it and create a buzz throughout the town. Musicians, and other street performers, are asked to turn up early as only a limited number of slots will be available on the stage and will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

Organiser Nick Penny appealed for performers to take part, and hopes the day will end with a jamming session.
"We believe this will be the first event of its kind for Coleford and would encourage as many performers as possible to turn up and take part in the event," he said.
"This is not just limited to musicians we would love to see street performers at the event as well."
He added: "If there is a good response we hope to encourage a mass jam session towards the end of the afternoon."
