CCTV appeal after sexual assault at Cheltenham Spa railway station
British Transport Police (BTP) is appealing for information after a woman alleged she was inappropriately touched by a man at Cheltenham Spa rail station.
Detectives have also released CCTV images of a man they would like to identify and talk to in connection with the incident, which is alleged to have taken place at around 5pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2012.
PC Julian Ribchester, one of the investigating officers, said: “The victim reported to police that she had been sitting on a bench on a platform at the station when a man sat next to her and began to engage her in conversation.
“The man is then alleged to have kissed the woman’s hand before touching her inappropriately. The man is then believed to have caught a train which was heading to Cardiff via Gloucester.”
