Cafe hosts celebration for women
PROMINENT and influential women from across Gloucestershire will gather at the El Bahdja cafe in Westgate Street on Friday to help celebrate Women's Day.
The event, with live music, food and chat, will help raise funds for local women's charities and is part of a series of events taking part across Gloucester.
The Friendship Cafe in Barton Street will host a sharing skills workshop throughout the day on Sunday, with women from the community sharing skills such as flower arranging, jewellery making or baking cupcakes.
A panel of city Muslim women will help expel myths surrounding Islam and Muslim traditions with representatives from the police, fire and rescue and county council at Skillzone on Tuesday.
