Cardiac arrest footballer Mark Moore 'not out of the woods yet'
RECOVERING footballer Mark Moore, who suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch, is not out of the woods yet.
The 27-year-old's family have confirmed his operation, due last week, had to be postponed while doctors at Bristol Royal Infirmary carry out further tests.
Mark's sister, Sarah Moore, said despite her brother having suffered at least one cardiac arrest on the pitch, doctors have yet to determine a cause.
She said: "They have no idea what is wrong with him.

"He needs to have a device fitted to help his heart but they cannot operate until they have done the tests first.
"He had one MRI scan which showed his heart was swollen but the doctors were not sure if that was because of the initial shock from the cardiac arrests.
"So he was having another scan tomorrow which of course they could have done if the device had already been fitted.
"My mother, brother and myself are also going into the hospital for tests to see if the condition is hereditary."
Mark, who plays for Longlevens AFC, suffered a cardiac arrest as he was celebrating a goal against Southmead with his teammates last month.
His heart stopped for 30 minutes but he was revived by a group of paramedics who happened to be playing a match on the neighbouring pitch.
Known as Maverick to his friends, Mark is recovering in the intensive care unit of Bristol Royal Infirmary.
Meanwhile ,his friends have been fundraising for the care unit. They made a collection at the Gloucester City v Solihull Moors match at Whaddon Road on August 27.
"The support for Mark and our family has been amazing and we are really grateful," added Sarah.
