Carolyn's Light Years
Much-loved Stroud artist Carolyn White is showing a special exhibition which opens at Stroud's Museum in the Park on Sunday and continues until September 29.
Carolyn is presenting an overview of her work made over the past 12 years, her Light Years.
The show has four themes, three are particular places, each with their own characteristic light: the Stroud valleys, the Penwith Peninsula in Cornwall and the Mediterranean. The fourth is an attempt to paint Carolyn's inner landscape with abstract paintings.
"The exhibition will make clear, I hope, my passion for colour – colour revealed by light, colour felt and observed, enhancing natural vibrations between hues," explains the artist.
