Cars attacked in Tredworth
YOBS have damaged cars in a Tredworth street for the second time in as many months.
Residents in Goodyere Street said they were sick of waking up to find deep scratches down their vehicles.

DAMAGE: Usman Bhaimia and Yakub Pandor.
In the latest incident on Wednesday night, more than nine cars were attacked with a blunt tool.
Abdul Rahman said he felt the street was being deliberately targeted.
He said: "This is someone who is specifically coming here and targeting the cars for whatever purpose.
"It is the second time it has happened in two months. Last time they did the other side of the street."
Mr Rahman said he believed the incident must have happened before 12.30am on Thursday as one of his neighbours arrived home at that time and did not have his car damaged.
"I only noticed when I took the children to school," he said.
City councillors Usman Bhaimia (LD) and Yakub Pandor (Con) both represent the Barton and Tredworth ward and agreed more needed to be done to protect residents from vandalism.
Coun Bhaimia said: "We know anti-social behaviour is high in this area.
"We want CCTV. It would put fear in the heart of those who cause problems.
"There are 63 nationalities living in this area and it is becoming like a ghetto," he said.
Cars belonging to Coun Pandor's family were attacked previously.
He added: "The police say crime has gone down but it seems to have gone up here."
Gloucestershire police confirmed they had received reports of criminal damage in Goodyere Street.
A spokesman said: "Officers are urging anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity on the street from Wednesday evening until the early hours of Thursday to call them on 0845 090 1234."
City councillor Andrew Gravells (Con, Abbey) is cabinet member for housing and health, and covers crime and disorder.
He said: "We have mobile CCTV units in the city to detect anti-social behaviour, and we will work with the police as closely as we can here. It's important too that the local PCSOs and county council-funded police officers continue to work together to stop this mindless activity."

“"Cars attacked in Tredworth", great headline, well done indeed! I bet the poor cars never saw the kids coming, what with pointing themselves in the wrong direction and all that. Just think of the pain those poor cars are going through! "Cars VANDALISED again in Tredworth" just doesnt cut the mustard does it? Funny”

“Whether you delete my comment or not, TiG, the point still stands. The letters page is not something you can dispense with any time you need an extra page. Find space some other way.”

“"There are 63 nationalities living in this area and it is becoming like a ghetto," What, you mean multiculturalism isn't working? What a surprise.
You could always get off your arses and tidy it up eh? Rather than make veiled references to vague race issues.”

“The range of nationalities in the area shouldn't be an issue, Rob, but it's worth pointing out that the offices of Linking Communities on Barton Street have been shut for some three years now, so if there is an issue with 'community cohesion', someone might want to ask them to open up or close down. Maybe they lack the funds at the moment to man the premises?”

“"There are 63 nationalities living in this area and it is becoming like a ghetto,"
Pardon? Why bring race into a crime discussion. Which nationality is he blaming in particular?
The police will do the usual - put out a statement saying "crime is down, crime is down, if you don't believe me then listen again, crime is down" and then you'll get fed up reporting anything again and crime stats will go down, everyone wins, except the public but that's ok :)”
