Celebrating our history
PRIDE in our city will be shown in abundance today when the Gloucester Day parade roars through.
The annual celebration will see stallholders set up at the cross, two parades through the city and a thanksgiving service.
It's also the start of the Gloucester History Week, designed to uncover and show off the city's remarkable heritage.
Things start at 9.45am when the stalls open for business. The first parade, to mark the inauguration of the new Mock Mayor of Barton, leaves Constitution Walk at 11am before the Mock Mayor Making ceremony itself at 11.20am.
