RACING pundit Derek 'Tommo' Thompson was the star of the show as William Hill's brand new betting shop on Winchcombe Street in Cheltenham officially opened its doors.

The new shop, which has been relocated from the corner of Albion Street to a larger unit on Winchcombe Street, is fitted to a high spec including an innovative video wall which is unique in Cheltenham and is part of William Hill's new technology being introduced in to their 'concept' shops.

Amongst the entertainment during the afternoon was a balloon raffle, a higher or lower game and Tommo's questions for free bets and tickets to the races. William Hill celebrated the launch with some special enhanced prices for the Cheltenham Festival betting exclusive to the new shop.

William Hill spokesman Jennie Prest said: "Cheltenham is a special place for all racing fans so it was important to launch our lovely new shop with a bang.
