Charity Gloucestershire Bundles needs to raise £5,000 by August or it faces closure
A COUNTY charity patroned by celebrity Lily Cooper, which helps families in need, could close this year if it doesn't raise £5,000.
The Gloucestershire Bundles project provides families across the county with everyday essentials, toiletries, cots, sterilisers, clothes and much more.
It does this via referrals from health professionals and has helped more than 500 families in the county.
The charity successfully ran on a £5,000 grant from Natwest last year, but unfortunately this year's bid failed to come to fruition.

With no current sponsors the charity, whose patron is Lily Cooper (formerly Lily Allen), has enough cash to run until August but will have to close if vital funds can't be sourced.
Gill Guarino, chairman of the charity, said: "We need help now more than ever, our storage costs alone are £5,000.
"We are so fortunate to have Lily and Sam Cooper as our patrons and now we are looking for companies to sponsor us.
"Our vision is for us to be able to continue to provide a lifeline for local parents and children." The charity is hosting an auction on June 28 in a bid to raise more funds.
Tickets will be on sale shortly for £30, which will include a three course meal, sparkling wine reception, auction and live music, all to be held at the Hatton Court Hotel, in Upton Hill. Based in Eastern Avenue, the charity was formed four years ago.
"We have grown and grown and grown," added Mrs Guarino.
"We are now helping three to four families every single day.
"I know other charities have sponsors that help them, and we have none.
"The prospect of having to close is very real if we don't obtain the funding by some means."
