LONGLEVENS RFC has suddenly become an easier alley with 91 scored by Richard Barnard (Hucclecote, Division One).

He also contributed to a 52 leg (14, 7, 9, 9, 13) for a six-point home win against Tredworth RFC.

Also scoring 91 was John Harding (Kings Oak, Division Seven) at the Kingsholm Inn, but he was on the losing team with the Woodchips scoring 705 pins for six points to go into fifth place before they play leaders Spartan Skittlers next week.

The best ladies' score was 86 by Heather Maddy (Spuddies, Division Three) at the Kingsholm Inn in the match with the highest aggregate score of the week with 1,466 pins.

Kath Pope (Rockets, Division Four) scored 84 at the Linden Tree against visitors Robinswood Hill, who remain bottom of the Division, to move the Rockets to 10th. Pope's consistent slate was 6, 14, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8.

In Division Two, Gloucester City CC (pictured) earned four points to move into third place, with new signing Graham Drinkwater scoring 87 at home on the Walls Club.

His team scored their best score to date at the Walls Club, hitting 672 against the Feds.

Also in Division Two, ex-Gloucester City goalkeeper Rob Stow scored 80 without a spare for the PA's and John Masters (Coney Hill RFC) hit a 16 spare.

Spares of 16 were also recorded for two Saintbridge Sinner's (Division Nine) players – Sandra Jenkins and Karl Ewers – at the Saintbridge Social Club.

The league requests that all skittlers respect the players bowling, especially the opposition, and ensure movement down the alley is restricted to either before or after a player bowls.

This is not being strictly adhered to and leads to complaints.
