A FURNITURE recycling charity is appealing to residents to donate white goods instead of throwing them away.

Reclaim redistributes good quality household items, including furniture, paint and electrical items, to people on low incomes in Cheltenham.

White goods such as fridges and washing machines are selling quickly in the credit crunch.

A spokesman said: "Some people are confused after the recent WEE legislation about whether white goods can be re-used which means less are being donated to the project."
