Cheltenham General Hospital closed to visitors
Cheltenham General Hospital has been closed to visitors because of an outbreak of norovirus.
The diarrhoea and vomiting bug has affected a number of wards at the hospital.
Now hospital chiefs have made the decision to close all wards to visitors, as a precautionary measure.
Director of Nursing, Maggie Arnold said: "This is a precautionary measure and good infection control practice to protect patients and control the spread of the illness. I hope that families and friends will understand why we are asking them not to visit for this short period."
