Carl Griffiths in action for Saracens against Highworth
After six previous cancellations due to the weather this match in round three was finally played and although Highworth are in the relegation area of the League table proved to be a tight match.
Saracens made several changes due to the semi-final of the County Cup away to Bristol Academy on Saturday but this allowed players who have missed several matches due to suspension to return for match practice.

Top scorer Ethan Moore was also not available as he was serving the second match of a suspension.
After a goalless first half Highworth took the lead on 65 minutes when Mike Oliver gave away a penalty for a tackle which triggered manager Gerry Oldham to make substitutions and it only took five minutes to put the scores level.
Substitute Elliott Kennedy broke down the left and crossed for Carl Griffiths to sweep home.
The score remained the same moving into extra time and the Saracens took control and deservedly took the lead when in the second half a long throw found Lorcan Sheehan on the edge of the area to volley home.
When it appeared that this would be the final score Highworth’s last minute pressure resulted in their 2nd goal with four minutes remaining and a move into penalties.
Saracens ran out eventual winners when keeper Tim Griffiths saved the fourth Highworth penalty to allow them to move into the quarter-finals against Wantage Town away next Tuesday.
