The rest of the first half belonged to Saracens and they thought they had moved 2-0 up but a shot from Jamie Hammond rebounded off the bar.
In the second half Slimbridge were more determined and drew level on 60 minutes when a cross was deflected into the path of a forward who scored from a one-on-one with Ryan Betteridge.
The match moved into extra-time which was even and then into penalties.
Ryan Betteridge in the Saracens goal saved two so put them through to the next round which is against Binfield away on August 31.
This win gave the club prize money of £1,500 and the next round is worth £1,925 to the winners.
