What went wrong at Burton Albion in last Saturday's 3-1 defeat?

After a bright start we just defended very poorly. We gave away some soft goals and didn’t work hard enough to win the ball back.

The only small bright spot was an improved second half performance and Byron Harrison’s first goal for the club. We need to perform consistently for the whole 90 minutes.

Is it time to give Byron Harrison another start?

We have played better in recent matches when only playing one striker up front but he played well enough at Burton to put himself into serious contention for Saturday.

What do you make of Harrison so far?

I think it’s still early days, we have been chopping and changing formations and that’s not helped him to get an understanding with the rest of the team. I think he shows very good promise and hope his goal on Saturday gives him an added boost.

Would you make any other changes to the team to face Rotherham United?

Sido Jombati has to come back into the defence, he attacks so well down the right hand side and we’ve been lacking that in recent games.

I’d also bring in Jermaine McGlashan or Kaid Mohamed for Darren Carter. We need some extra pace in midfield especially at home.

How do you see the game going?

It’s going to be a very tough game and with both managers having a past history of clashing it’s going to be one to look forward to.

I’ll settle for a tight home win though.

If Cheltenham could make a signing in one position on loan, where would they need to strengthen?

We need a left winger who can deliver quality crosses into the box, with the right service our strikers would thrive.

Luke Rooney from Swindon was a target in January and would fit the bill if he is still available.

Are Cheltenham above, below or level with expectations for this season?

I hoped that we would be in and around the play-offs when the season started and that’s how it’s turned out. I’d say we were level with fans expectations albeit that budget wise we are still punching above our weight.

How do you see the remaining eight games panning out?

We have some massive games coming up will most of the playoff teams around us still to play. Consistency is the key, if we can put together a string of good performances we can push for an automatic promotion spot.

Where will Cheltenham finish this season?

I think we will finish in the playoffs and I’d fancy our chances over two games against anyone.
