Cheltenham Town: New fitness coach putting Robins though their paces
CHELTENHAM Town have called upon the expertise of fitness coach Ian Hutton.
The Cheltenham-based personal trainer has been putting on extra sessions for members of Mark Yates' squad at The Gym Cheltenham, a new facility on the High Street.

He has worked with regular first-teamers to improve strength and agility, as well as putting in hours of hard graft with some of the fringe players to help them maintain their sharpness when they are not playing 90 minutes on a regular basis.
Hutton has also been given the task of helping youth team prospects such as Joe Hanks and Adam Powell bulk up to prepare them for the physical challenge of senior football.

"It all started with Alan Bennett approaching us wanting to do some Olympic lifting, which is my speciality," Hutton said.
"We did some work and then Darryl Duffy started coming in too and it's developed from there.
"I tend to have six or so in at a time and smaller groups are better to work on specific things such as SAQ (speed, agility and quickness).
"More lads have been in and the feedback has all been positive, although they might not actually enjoy the work when they are doing it as it hurts!"
Robins senior sports therapist said that being able to call upon Hutton and Dan Fivey, who runs The Gym and Personal Training Studio above the Up and Running store, was invaluable.
"Ian has a tremendous knowledge in the strength and conditioning area," Weston said.
"That is something we are keen to develop in players like Joe Hanks and the senior pros have been doing maintenance work.
"Ian has become more and more involved as the weeks have gone on and become a great asset for us.
"Dan's gym has some fantastic equipment and he's gone for quality rather than quantity with some top drawer equipment, so it's a fantastic facility.
"But it's all about Dan and Ian's knowledge because their attention to detail is immense and they are sticklers for technique.
"I trust them 100 per cent with the advice they give and the sessions they put on for the players."
Along with the work he has been doing with the Robins, 29-year-old Hutton is also manager of the Cheltenham Town Ladies team. Striker Duffy has been helping out with some of their training, putting on finishing sessions.
Hutton is keen to develop his association with the men's team, supplementing the fitness work done by Jason Murphy, who is also the club's analyst.
"It would be good to be able to work with the players in the off-season when you can really hit it hard," Hutton said.
"At the moment everything obviously has to be tailored around when the matches are.
"It's great that the manager Mark Yates and Ian Weston trust me to do the right amount of work with the players."
