CHELTENHAM RES 3 WOLVES RES 1
CHELTENHAM Town manager Martin Allen ran the rule over trial duo Youness Bengelloun and Antone Douglas in yesterday's reserve friendly against Wolves, but neither player will be invited back for another chance to impress.

Triallist Antone Douglas failed to impress for Cheltenham Town
Bengelloun is a 26-year-old French central defender who has been on the books of Paris Saint Germain.
Douglas started on the left wing before switching to left-back, but the former Crawley Town man did not make a big enough impact to be considered for a deal with the Robins.
A youthful Robins second string produced a bright performance to see of Wolves, who included ex-Cheltenham loanee Ashley Hemmings.
Tom Denton opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a low finish after his header from Theo Lewis' cross rebounded to him.
Lewis started in midfield, with David Hutton up front.
Second year scholar Josh Quaynor produced an impressive performance and he made it 2-0 in the final minute of the first half, curling in a low free-kick from the edge of the penalty area after Lewis had been tripped.
Wolves hit back in the 50th minute when Nathaniel Mendez-Laing pulled the ball back for Nathan Rooney to slot past Barry Richardson.
Goalkeeping coach Richardson, 40, made several good stops, including one instinctive double save in the first half.
Bengelloun wasted a good opportunity to make it 3-1 in the 63rd minute, firing wide with the goal gaping, but Denton rounded off the scoring with a well placed header from skipper Jack Durrant's right-wing cross in the 80th minute.
Marley Watkins, who has recovered from illness, was given a run out along with non-contract former Spurs defender Ajet Shehu.
CHELTENHAM RES: B Richardson; J Durrant, A Shehu, Y Bengelloun, J Quaynor; M Watkins, T Lewis (C Tosh 56), J Emery, A Douglas; T Denton, D Hutton. Subs not used: J Perry, D Waters, J Fawke, J Sauntson, C Hamilton.

“If I remember, Denton was unlucky not to score against Rochdale (wasn't his shot cleared off the line??). Not impressed with him against Torquay (he wasn''t the only bad player that nite). With 2 goals yesterday, I'm sure he'll be in with a shout of starting Friday. Anybody think that MA will stick Alsop in at Centre Back again against Macc?”
